2016 Open HouseHi – I can’t believe I haven’t posted anything on the site since May. I’ve been so busy – with art courses coming to an end and preparations for the Open House weekends. I have one class left to teach before the summer break and there’s one more weekend of the Worthing Artists’ Open Houses. Here at Venue 34 we’ve had a great couple of weekends so far – meeting and chatting to all kinds of people who like making, looking at or even buying art! Thank you to everyone who has visited our venue to see work by eight very different and diverse artists and makers. There is still one weekend to go – so please visit us, if you can tear yourselves away from the sport on TV!

It is now possible to enrol for September Adult art courses at Northbrook College and I’ve just found out that one of my morning courses is fully booked already with people on the waiting list. If you are unable to enrol onto the Friday morning ‘Painting and Drawing course’ please consider the Friday 12.30-2.30pm ‘Drawing’ short course in the autumn term. You can follow this with the ‘Painting the Landscape’ course in January. All these course are ‘all ability’ courses and some of the projects in the longer course and the two shorter courses may be very similar so the learning experience will be just as enjoyable and informative.

If you would like to talk with me more about art courses running from September, please feel free to pop into Venue 34 of the Open House Art Trail this weekend for a chat. Let’s hope the weather picks up before then!
